Inauguration of the Saint-Brieuc (Côtes-d'Armor) Drinking Water Plant

On September 20, we inaugurated the new Croix-Cholin drinking water production plant in Ploufragan (Côtes-d’Armor), with the presence of Rémy Moulin, Mayor of Ploufragan, Gérard Le Gall, Vice President of Saint-Brieuc Armor Agglomération in charge of water and sanitation policies and aquatic environment management, Michel Raffray, President of SDAEP, Ronan Kerdraon, President of Saint-Brieuc Armor Agglomération, Stéphane Rouvé, Prefect of Côtes-d’Armor, Estelle Grelier, President of Saur France, Hugo Bardi, President of Stereau, and representatives of the companies involved in the project.

This facility represents a major step forward in securing the drinking water supply for the entire Côtes-d’Armor region, while integrating innovation and high-quality service for the benefit of the residents of Saint-Brieuc Armor Agglomération. Entrusted to the consortium composed of Stereau (lead contractor), Groupe Angevin, Pinto, and the architectural firm Laab Architecture, the new plant was entirely designed using the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process, ensuring long-term optimization of operations and maintenance.

Innovative Technologies and Increased Capacity
With a production capacity of 1,850 m³ per hour, the plant features an innovative multi-barrier treatment system. The treatment process, designed to anticipate future regulatory changes, ensures the delivery of exceptionally high-quality drinking water that meets the strictest health and safety standards:
Pretreatment
Aréoflux® clarification for the removal of organic matter and algae
Pesticide removal using the patented Carboflux® process
Filtration with Filtralite®
Ultraviolet disinfection
Chlorination

Environmental Commitment
The Croix-Cholin plant fully embodies our ability to combine treatment performance with sustainable development:
– Water and energy savings
– Responsiveness to water quality variations
– Compliance with RE2020 standards
– Discreet and harmonious architectural and landscape integration

"Adaptable and anticipating regulatory changes, the Croix-Cholin plant implements a particularly innovative multi-barrier treatment process. At each stage of treatment, technical and environmental solutions have been proposed to optimize its performance."
